A residence for someone who does everything with soul, creativity and love. Artist Shantha never stopped painting even as she struggles to make ends meet. With no technical education, her work showed intricately vivid detailing and deep emotions that represented the unnoticed subjects around us. 

As she faced a persistent problem of flooding during monsoons, along with the help of IIA Calicut Centre, we sought to resolve it  as well as provide her with a small art gallery where she could paint and showcase her work as well. With the floor and site levels raised, roofs redone along with introduction of additional steel columns and trusses ensured to strengthen and add a charm to her cozy setting. The art gallery continues to provide a space for this artist.
